BORDER CROSSING

CELL PHONE TIPS

GETTING AROUND

Bus

-  SD / TJ Shuttle has a route from San Ysidro border station to Rosarito for $20 one way or $35 round trip.

- Baja Plus bus tour agency has a terminal about 1.25 miles south of the San Ysidro/Tijuana border with a route from TJ to Rosarito and Rosarito to TJ.

Car

- Many of our guests drive their own car with Mexican liability insurance. You can purchase insurance at the last exit before the border or online through Baja Bound Insurance.

- Rent a car (requires purchasing Mexican auto insurance through the car rental company, which can be expensive $35-50 per day)

Taxi

- There are taxis in TJ and Rosarito. Taxis are readily available from the front gate of Playa Arcangel community where our villas are located. If you don't see one, security can call one for you.

Uber

- Ubers are legal in Tijuana but illegal in Rosarito. I have heard that you can take an Uber from Tijuana into Rosarito but you are not supposed to hire an Uber driver for a trip within Rosarito. There could be drivers on the app but we do not recommend it. Please take taxis within Rosarito.

Van shuttle

- Public van shuttle for travel within Rosarito: The public van buses are around $16-18 pesos, or $1 USD. They are a great, inexpensive way to get around during the day but we don’t recommend them at night. There are also van taxis that if you jump in with a group of people, they will give you a similar rate.

- Day trips: Experiencias baja tours

- Wine tour to Valle de Guadalupe: Baja Wine And Dine tours
